In this dynamic webinar, our team explored the integration of open knowledge exchange practices within institutions amidst a period of significant change. We also shared how the IDEA Network was launched during the pandemic, born out of the urgent need for more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible platforms for open knowledge. π The pandemic reshaped teaching, research, and knowledge exchange practices, offering both challenges and opportunities for institutions.
During the session, we discussed how universities can embed open knowledge approaches in a sustainable way, and how these practices can lead to a more collaborative and inclusive academic environment. π«

Session 2 of KE Matters β Practice Makes Perfect: Getting Started in Open Knowledge Exchange

Our follow-up session was designed to guide participants through their first steps in open knowledge exchange. It took a more hands-on approach, guiding participants through their first steps in open knowledge exchange. We shared with participants how to make their first Wikipedia edit, explained the key rules for contributing, and introduced simple tools to help them get started. π οΈ Attendees had the chance to explore Wiki tools first-hand, making it a practical and interactive experience.
Additionally, we shared our ongoing projects, offering inspiration and potential collaboration opportunities to further strengthen knowledge-sharing networks. These examples demonstrated how open knowledge can drive more inclusive, diverse, and equitable content across platforms like Wikipedia.
